About The Book

In this book, we explore practices that will help you build momentum, create personal space and focus, and gain new perspectives to enhance your creative flow and originality.

Our primary mode of learning relies on what we visually observe and interpret, which are shaped mainly by our interests.

Art and critical thinking are vital in bringing creativity to life, and we cultivate the conditions necessary for innovation in the space of originality.

This book is designed to be a learning opportunity - one that empowers you to boost your creative pivot and see problem-solving in a whole new way.

Decode Innovation Series, Founded in 2022, began with Anthony's early 2017 articles on creative thinking and problem-solving. This book - Vol. 1 is the culmination of his best practices, blending his approaches and curiosity about innovation into stories, methodologies, and practical tools to help readers explore innovation from multiple angles.

As the signature entry in the series, this volume sets the foundation for deep exploration. "Vol. 2 Inventors Notebook" for innovators and teams to explore ideas and exchange, and "Vol. 3 Your Personal AI" shows how to build a personal AI that strengthens focus, learning, and creativity - so you spend less time managing distractions and more time living with purpose.

Creative thinking is now considered one of the most essential skills. In Volume 1, Anthony presents his most influential work, offering a view of innovation from many perspectives. Volume 2 focuses on developing your influence to foster creativity, while Volume 3 explores how to organize your time and ideas using the latest techniques and technology.

Through further workshops and hands-on exercises, this collection challenges you to think creatively and equips you with tools to build focus and clarity.

About The Notebook

Decode Innovation — Inventor’s Notebook (Volume 2) is a practical, reflective notebook designed to help innovators, educators, and teams explore ideas, clarify their thinking, and build creative momentum over time.

This volume is part of the Decode Innovation series, which began in 2022 and builds on Anthony Siljeg’s earlier work on creative thinking and problem-solving. While Volume 1: Decode Innovation and Think Outside the Box focuses on understanding innovation from multiple perspectives, Volume 2 moves the work into practice.

Rather than offering prescriptive frameworks or step-by-step formulas, this notebook uses carefully structured questions to encourage reflection, experimentation, and learning. It is designed for repetition, supporting innovation as a habit rather than a one-time activity.

What This Notebook Contains

Part I — Exploring Different Dimensions of Innovation
Introduces foundational questions around creativity, habits, imagination, design thinking, and critical thinking. These questions help readers examine how innovation emerges, how it is influenced by culture and mindset, and how different ways of thinking interact.

Part II — Methodologies & Techniques
Focuses on applied approaches, including design thinking in practice, navigating uncertainty, and using structured methods to explore and test ideas. This section connects reflection with action, without forcing outcomes.

Part III — From Insight to Action
Shifts attention toward learning, adaptability, and execution. Questions in this section support translating insight into meaningful progress while remaining open to iteration.

Ideation and refinement sections include dedicated sections that guide readers through:

  • Developing a specific idea

  • Refining and refocusing concepts

  • Validating and experimenting

  • Expanding perspective through collaboration

  • Moving toward action and execution

Q&A / Example Answers Section

The answers provided are not intended to replace a reader’s first response. Instead, they serve as secondary perspectives designed to prime thinking, reinforce retention, and encourage multiple approaches to each question.

Note-Taking & Focus Pages

This notebook includes approximately 50 pages dedicated to note-taking, sketching, and reflection, including the 5o5 Concept Incubator & Focus Paper.

These pages are designed for:

  • Writing a few words each day

  • Sketching, mapping, or connecting ideas

  • Capturing patterns over time

  • Exchanging pages with colleagues or teams to gain new perspectives

The focus pages support creativity as part of daily life - linking innovation to habits, learning, and energy, not just one-time outcomes.

How to Use This Book:

  • Answer questions in any order.

  • Skip freely and return later.

  • Revisit questions as thinking evolves.

Decode Innovation – Your Personal AI

2-Hour Online Workshop + eBook

This workshop is a practical extension of Volume Three of the Decode Innovation series: Your Personal AI.

It’s designed for people who want to use AI deliberately to create focus, clarity, and momentum - without spending more time on screens or chasing productivity trends.

Rather than teaching tools or platforms, the session focuses on building a Personal AI system using prompts, structure, and reflection. You’ll learn how to organise projects, understand your own thinking patterns, and reduce mental clutter so you can spend more time on what actually matters.

What the eBook Covers

The accompanying eBook introduces a calm, structured approach to personal AI, including:

  • A six-step framework for organising identity, goals, voice, systems, and ideas

  • Practical prompt stacks for daily use, reflection, and creative work

  • A method for spending less time deciding what to do next—and more time doing meaningful work

What the 2-Hour Workshop Covers

In this live online session, we put the ideas into practice:

Part 1 — Foundations (30 minutes)

  • How to use AI as a thinking companion rather than a distraction

  • The mindset shift from speed to clarity

Part 2 — Building Your Personal AI (60 minutes)

  • Creating the core layers of your Personal AI (identity, goals, focus, ideas)

  • Using prompt stacks to organise projects and capture insights

  • Applying the system to real-world work and personal goals

Part 3 — Integration & Next Steps (30 minutes)

  • How to use the system weekly without overwhelm

  • Where people get stuck and how to adjust the prompts

  • How to continue developing your Personal AI after the session

Who This Is For

  • Creators, founders, professionals who use AI

  • Anyone feeling overwhelmed by tools, tasks, or ideas

  • People who want clarity, not complexity

No technical background is required.

This workshop is about thinking better, organising more calmly, and using AI with intention—not doing more for the sake of it.
